In addition to being a half time senior lecturer at Westminster I am a partner in all about Talent a company established to assist organisations with their people development. Based on this experience I write regular articles on management and leadership issues available via Twitter:@allabouttalent.
Alongside aaT I lead the work of the independent Think Tank, Diverse Skills for Growth along with Dr Gillian Shapiro and Baroness Oona King. I chair the Board of Trustees for Terapia a leading training centre in integrative child psychology and counselling based in North West London. Until 2011 I was the Chief Executive Officer of the Broadcast Equality & Training Regulator (BETR). Prior to that, for ten years I managed a global media development department in the Business Consulting Services of IBM and held several posts in PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting I began my career in broadcasting as a trainee at Thames TV.
I went on to be an owner/manager of three production companies specialising in location recording, computer graphics and post-production. In my academic roles I established and managed a Media Production BA at West Herts College and a MA degree in Media Management at the University of Hertfordshire. My book Managing in the Media was written to support these programmes.
