Regulating Moroccan Children’s Digital Media Content meeting held in Rabat, Morocco

On the 26th of October Tarik Sabry co-organised a meeting at the University of Mohamed V in Rabat, Morocco, with Dr Hicham Ait Mansour, entitled: Regulating Moroccan Children’s Digital Media Content. The meeting included academics, media regulators from the High Authority of Audio-Visual Communication (HACA), The Moroccan National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT) and members from the ministry of Education. The event was part of a British Academy International Partnership and Mobility Scheme project, led by Tarik Sabry, entitled: Regulating Screen Content for Children Audiences: Cultural Policy Comparisons for Morocco and UK. Tarik Sabry and Hicham Ait Mansour (of the sociology Department at Mohamed V University Rabat, Morocco) are in the process of drafting a policy paper, the findings of which will be presented to the Moroccan parliament and to the Moroccan media regulators HACA and ANRT.
