Andrea Medrado elected as IAMCR Vice President
In July this year, the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) held elections for its Executive Board (EB) and International Council (IC). Andrea Medrado, who has just joined the University of Westminster’s School of Media and Communication as a Lecturer, was elected as the association’s new Vice President. Andrea received 342 votes, followed by Usha Raman, from the University of Hyderabad, with 274 votes. The other members of the newly elected EB are Nico Carpentier (President – Charles University, Czech Republic), Gerard Goggin (Secretary General – Nanyang Technological University, Singapore), and Elske van de Fliert (Treasurer – The University of Queensland, Australia).
