Rights and Might Film Festival @ Regent Street Cinema | England | United Kingdom

The Rights and Might two-day film festival brings together a collection of films about the varied experiences of people crossing continents and borders in search of peace, safety and a dignified life.

Through drama, documentary, comedy and animation the films present alternative perspectives of migration over the last 30 years. These include dangerous and uplifting physical and mental journeys from Albania to Italy, Afghanistan to Germany, Iran to Iraq, Sri Lanka to France, Vietnam to Morocco, Burkina Faso and Senegal to Italy, Nigeria to the UK, Cameroon to France, Democratic Republic of Congo to Germany, Honduras and Mexico to the United States.

For many migrants the difficulties continue long after the physical journey ends.

Festival programming by:
Jane Thorburn and Cecilia Zoppelletto, University of Westminster.

The Rights and Might film festival is organised in conjunction with the Rights and Might conference: 22nd to 25th June 2017
