Get In Touch

Dr Huanyu Huang was awarded her PhD from the University of Westminster in 2024 and is joining CAMRI as a Visiting Scholar from July to December 2025. Her doctoral research focused on digital feminism, censorship and narrative construction in the context of #MeToo China, examining how feminist voices navigate digital censorship and structural exclusion in authoritarian contexts.

Her ongoing research explores digital migration, cultural displacement and practical storytelling strategies among East Asian women migrants, with a focus on how these narratives challenge dominant frameworks and contribute to community-informed knowledge.

Huanyu also works as an editor and content creator at World Thea-Tales, a bilingual media platform that centres East Asian women’s stories in UK theatre culture and public discourse.
