Maria Michalis joins Ofcom, Arqiva, and ITV for the Voice of the Listener & Viewer panel

On 28th November 2024, Maria Michalis participated in the Voice of the Listener & Viewer autumn conference, “The Opportunities and Challenges for PSB in a Digital World.” She was on the panel, “How will we be watching TV in 10 year’s time?” together with Ofcom, Arqiva, and ITV.

Based on her research on this topic, she spoke about the future of television distribution in the UK focusing on four main challenges that a move to IPTV and the closing down of Digital Terrestrial Television transmission presents for citizens: universality, affordability, resilience and cybersecurity, and environmental impact.
