CAMRI’s PhD Symposium

On Friday, 13th September, CAMRI hosted a PhD symposium in Media and Communication, featuring presentations from doctoral researchers across four institutions. The event was divided into four thematic sessions:

  1. Media for Social Change
  2. Cultural Landscapes: Gender, Community, and Spiritual Narratives
  3. Media and Politics: Power, Public Diplomacy, and Fact-Checking
  4. Navigating Digital Realms: Behavioural Engineering, Identity, and the Politics of Organization

The symposium was organised by Alessandro D’Arma and Ed Bracho-Polanco (CAMRI), in collaboration with Abdullahi Tasiu Abubakar (City, U. of London), Photini Vrikki (University College London), and Milly Williamson (Goldsmiths).

We extend our gratitude to all participants – both speakers and attendees – for their contributions to a day of meaningful discussions and fruitful exchanges of ideas, which showcased the diversity and richness of doctoral research in media, communication, and cultural studies across the four participating institutions.

We look forward to the next symposium in 2025!
