Foreign Office Award: Pioneering South Asian Journalism Project

Professors Jean Seaton and Rosie Thomas have just won a prestigious contract from the Foreign Office to extend their pioneering South Asian Journalism Project.  The programme – which has been the only project to bring senior Indian and Pakistani professionals together here for an intensive 8 week course – is now to be extended to other countries across the region. It will for the first time include Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan and Maldivian journalists. It poses an exciting challenge to hold the multiple societies with their different traditions together.
