Thinking about Arab Cultural Studies Through Tarik Sabry’s Approach

Mouminoun Without Borders, a prominent online Arabic magazine that focuses on philosophy and the humanities has published an article by the Arab philosopher Abdelaziz Boumeshouli in which he engages with, CAMRI Reader, Tarik Sabry’s contribution to the field of Arab Cultural Studies and debates on contemporary Arab philosophy.  The article provides a systematic engagement with key themes emerging from Sabry’s work including the re-territorialisation and de-territorialisation of knowledge frames, Arab intellectuals and the discourse of modernity, everyday life and the study of culture, double-critique, epistemic creativity and cultural translation.
