The War Against the BBC – Barnett and Barwise

Professor Steven Barnett, and Patrick Barwise, emeritus professor of management and marketing at London Business School, discuss the war against the BBC. In this clip, from a conference hosted by Middlesex University, they critique the way in which right-wing think tanks carry out “research” on the BBC. Arguing that much of this work, often funded by questionable sources, has helped to shift the narrative on debates about the BBC’s so-called bias towards being anti-BBC. This they suggest this in contrast to the more transparent research of academics around the same issues.
