Alessandro D’Arma and Minna Horowitz develop a framework for evaluating and strengthening the trustworthiness of public service media journalism
Alessandro D’Arma is the co-author with Minna Horowitz (University of Westminster) of a new essay commissioned by the Media Intelligence Service of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). The essay offers a new perspective on the relationship between trust and Public Service Media (PSM), using EBU’s six PSM core values of universality, independence, excellence, diversity, accountability and innovation. The research for this essay was part of a series of studies released by ORF’s Public Value Competence Center (https://zukunft.orf.at/) on the topic “Between the Fourth Estate and the Fifth Power”. The essay can be downloaded for free from the EBU website:: https://www.ebu.ch/research/loginonly/report/bridging-value-and-trust
