Westminster/Goldsmiths Joint PhD Symposium Resumes with Success
The University of Westminster and Goldsmiths, University of London, marked the return of their joint PhD symposium in Media and Communication. The event, held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the University of Westminster’s Cavendish Campus, was the first in-person symposium since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Organised by Alessandro D’Arma (CAMRI Doctoral Programme Coordinator), Dr Ed Bracho (CAMRI DRDP Coordinator) and Dr Gareth Stanton (convenor of the Goldsmiths PhD programme in Media and Communications), the symposium brought together over 20 doctoral researchers from both institutions.
The symposium was divided into four engaging sessions, chaired by Prof James Curran and Richard Shannon from Goldsmiths, and Dr Peter Goodwin and Dr Laura Stevenson from the University of Westminster. These sessions provided a platform for doctoral researchers to present their research projects, fostering meaningful discussions and fruitful exchanges of ideas.
We look forward to the next symposium in 2024!
