Steven Barnett speaks to NewsTalk about GBNews and Ofcom
Prof. Steven Barnett recently joined Mandy Johnston on NewsTalk’s Taking Stock. Barnett and Johnston discussed at length the controversial opinion-led GBNews station. The interview, which begins about 30mins into the programme, explored the financing and regulation of the broadcaster. Barnett explored the differences between print and broadcast press in relation to regulations and the weakness of Ofcom in holding GBNews to account over some of its content which does not meet requirements of impartiality.
