The Chevening Symposium
The Chevening Symposium is the culmination of the South Asia Journalism Programme. Over the past eight weeks, the fellows have worked together, as a group, to organize this event. Together they have agreed its theme, its speakers, its audience and the format of the day bringing to the table not only their own individual views and experiences, but also the concerns that have been debated amongst them over the past weeks. For the fellows, the symposium is an opportunity to open these topics up to a wider audience and to engage in discussion with experts they admire. As a project, this has been a uniquely exciting and rewarding exercise in working together.
