Gao Fei, professor at the School of Media, Film and Television at Jiangsu Normal University and a senior editor at Beijing TV Station, is a visiting scholar at the University of Westminster. Prof. Gao Fei is also a researcher at both the Centre for Surrounding Communication Research at Peking University and the Institute of Surrounding Communication Studies at Huaqiao University.

She previously worked as a presenter, journalist and editor at Dalian TV Station and later served as a chief editor at Beijing TV Station. She has more than 20 years of practical and theoretical research experience in the media field. Her research focuses on audio-visual communication and international communication.

Professor Gao Fei has published over 80 academic papers in the fields of journalism and communication and has authored several monographs. She has presided over one subproject of a Major Project funded by the National Social Science Fund and two Ministerial-level Social Science Research Projects funded by the National Radio and Television Administration. Furthermore, she has participated in more than 20 research projects.

Professor Gao Fei has received over ten national academic awards. Among others, she was presented with the award of “China’s Top 100 Theoretical Talents in Broadcasting, Film and Television”.
