This pioneering conference assesses the impact of the peaceful rise of China in its geopolitical environment and China’s effect on global communication. It examines how Sino-globalisation is contributing to enriching the political, cultural and economic conversations globally, while recognising the limitations of a media system that operates within a one-party state. Will the growing globalisation of China help redress the imbalance in media flows and contribute to a more pluralistic media globe?
The conference is organised by the China Media Centre at University of Westminster in collaboration with Managing Department of Social Sciences and Faculty of International Media at Communication University of China.

The fee for registration for external participants including presenters, is £100 (£50 concessionary rate for external students) and is charged to cover all conference documentation, refreshments and administration costs.
