African Society of Cambridge University honours Winston Mano with Citation of Appreciation
The African Society of Cambridge University awarded Winston Mano, a Professor in the Communication and Media Research Institute, a Citation of Appreciation at the 10th Cambridge Africa Conference 2024: Ayatutu.
Mano was one of the distinguished speakers at this year’s conference, held under the theme “Ayatutu Ka Uno: A Decade of Interconnectedness and Growth.” The event celebrated unity, shared purpose, and progress across Africa and its diaspora. In presenting the award, the Conference Chair expressed, “Prof. Winston Mano, your insights at the Cambridge Africa Conference 2024 have enriched us with new perspectives and strategies for problem-solving and change-making. Your work shows that with commitment, the impossible becomes possible, and your example inspires us all to make a positive impact wherever we are. Thank you for being a voice of inspiration.”
The conference took place from May 3rd to May 5th at the Fisher Building, St John’s College, Cambridge, and was chaired by Esther Wadzanai Mano, an MPhil candidate in African Studies.
