CAMRI | Anastasia Denisova delivers keynote at Communicating Climate Crisis and Extreme Weather Events conference

Dr Anastasia Denisova delivered a keynote at Communicating Climate Crisis and Extreme Weather Events conference held by the University of Ljubljana on 10-11 of October 2024.

Dr Denisova’s talk, “Effective climate communication: from eco-anxiety to eco-action,” was based on her upcoming book due in November 2024. Her research delves into the types of storytelling on climate that do not alienate the audience but engage them with the issues, providing avenues for actions and the sense of agency.

Denisova’s work challenges the use of fear and apocalyptic storytelling and argues for a more measured, balanced approach in communicating global and local events, and possible solutions.
