Jean Seaton speaks at Orwell: Past, Present and Pizza

Prof. Jean Seaton joined a panel of experts at an event to launch a new biography of George Orwell, hosted by MIT. The event, which was billed as a fun panel discussion, saw Prof. Steven Pinker (Harvard), Prof. Jean Seaton (Orwell Foundation Director) and David Taylor (Orwell’s official biographer), in discussion, and moderated by Prof. Max Tegmark (MIT).

Through the event the panel discussed George Orwell’s life, impact and relevance today in issues ranging from surveillance to censorship and hate-mongering.

Discussion was followed by an open Q&A,  as well as a book signing for Orwell’s new biography.
